VN continues to send medical supplies to Myanmar

VGP - Vietnamese Ambassador to Myanmar Ly Quoc Tuan has handed over 35,000 surgical face masks to Mandalay - the second largest city of Myanmar - to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is the gift from Vietnamese citizens and Da Nang City.

Earlier, the Vietnamese Government had donated a total of US$70,000 and MMK 30 million (about US$ 23,000) in aid, and 160,000 medical face masks, and sanitizers and medical supplies to Myanmar, according to the Vietnamese Embassy in Yangoon.

In addition, Myanmar-based Vietnamese enterprises sponsored US$20,000 and MMK 7.5 million (US$ 5,566) in aid, and 10,000 face coverings.

As of December 13, Myanmar confirmed 108,342 cases of Covid-19, including 2,268 deaths./.
