VN consistently upholds multilateralism in disarmament

VGP – Viet Nam consistently upholds multilateralism in the area of disarmament and non-proliferation on the basis of respect for international law and the United Nations Charter, considering it as an important principle and an effective approach to trust building in settling international issues.

Viet Nam consistently upholds multilateralism in disarmament and non-proliferation
Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to the United Nations made the above statement at the general debate of the United Nations Disarmament and International Security Committee.

She took the occasion to extend thanks to and call on the international community to continue support for Viet Nam’s efforts in implementing the national action program to overcome consequences of post-war bombs and mines in the period 2010-2025.

During the debate, the participants will discuss on a variety of issues non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, reform of disarmament apparatus to enhancement of international security./.
