VN confirms four new Covid-19 cases

VGP - Viet Nam confirmed four new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, raising the patient tally to 1,395.

All of them are Vietnamese returning from the United Arab Emirates, Ukraine and Russia, said the National Steering Committee for Covid-19  Prevention and Control.

Patient 1,392 is a 26-year-old man in Vinh Thanh Commune, Nha Trang city of the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa.

He flew from the United Arab Emirates to Khanh Hoa on December 8 and was quarantined in the nearby province of Phu Yen.

He is being treated at the Phu Yen General Hospital.

Patients 1,393 and 1,394 were repatriated from Ukraine on December 9 and quarantined in Khanh Hoa Province.

Both of them are being treated at the Khanh Hoa Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

Patient 1,395 is a 46-year-old man in Thanh Khai Commune, Thanh Chuong District of the central province of Nghe An.

He was brought home from Russia on December 6 and quarantined in central city of Da Nang.

He is being treated at the Da Nang Hospital for Lung Diseases.

Of the country’s patient tally, 1,237 have recovered and 35 others have been reported dead.

The pandemic still remains complicated around the world, with total infection cases approaching 72 million, including 1,608,887 fatalities and 49,773,359 recoveries, according to the Ministry of Health./.
