VN commits to using WB’s loans effectively

VGP – Viet Nam commits to doing it utmost to effectively use the World Bank (WB)’s loans, Deputy PM Vu Van Ninh said.

The Deputy PM made that statement at his Ha Noi reception for WB Vice President for Concessional Finance & Global Partnerships Axel Van Trosenburg on March 31.

Welcoming Mr. Axel Van Trosenburg’s working visit to Viet Nam, the Deputy PM sai Viet Nam praised the WB's supports for its national development process.

He said he hoped that the WB will provide more assistance for Viet Nam, especially in the context that Viet Nam needs huge resources to realize its master plan on economic restructuring.

Mr. Axel Van Trosenburg suggested the Vietnamese Government launch measures to use the WB’s loans effectively and improve the disbursement of the capital.

In July this year, WB Group President Jim Yong Kim will pay an official visit to Viet Nam.
