VN commits to building e-Government

VGP – Minister, Chairman of the Office of the Government Mai Tien Dung led a working delegation to work with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and attended an investment policy roundtable with Asia Group on April 10 (local time).

At the reception for U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Mark Green, Minister Dung thanked the USAID for implementing ODA projects in Viet Nam.

Mr. Dung reported that Viet Nam inaugurated the National E-document Exchange Platform which is seen as a major step towards the development of e-government in the 2019 – 2020 period, with vision to 2025. Using e-documents in replacement of paper documents would help facilitate efficiency and transparency during the working process, contributing to administrative reform and improvements in the business environment.

The Minister proposed the USAID support Viet Nam in general and the Office of the Government in particular to build and develop an e-Government and the Office of the Government. 

Administrator Mark Green showed his impression of Viet Nam’s determination on reform and e-Government building. 

The same day, Minister Dung attended the investment policy roundtable with Asia Group.

The Minister said that over the past time, the Vietnamese Government has facilitated U.S. enterprises and will continue to perfect the business environment. Viet Nam welcomes foreign investors to partake in prioritized investment fields including farming, high-tech, tourism, logistics, and auxiliary industries./.
