The project will receive a non-refundable aid of US $1,124,721. The Hà Nội People’s Committee will allocate a counterpart funding of US $93,198 from its own budget.

The Committee is assigned to set up, approve and sign annual work plans (AWP), implement the master plan and cooperation projects with UN organizations which were ratified by the PM.

In early 2009, the profile on the Thăng Long-Hà Nội Imperial Citadel was submitted to the UNESCO Committee of World Heritages for the recognition of the site as a world culture heritage.

The Thăng Long-Hà Nội Imperial Citadel is a ten-century historical site. The site covers 18,395 m2, at 18 Hoàng Diệu Street, Ba Đình District, Hà Nội.
