VN and Israel strike culture, information deal
VNGOVNet – On behalf of the PM, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm on February 5 ratified the December 27, 2005 agreement on cooperation in culture and information between the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the State of Israel.
The Deputy PM entrusted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to complete diplomatic procedures regarding this approval and inform concerned agencies about the date of entry into force of the agreement.
On the same day, he agreed with the Ministry of Culture and Information (MCI) to design a workplan to realize the agreement after it comes into effect. At the same time, the Ministry of Science and Technology will work on main responsibility with the MCI, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant ministries and agencies to establish in 2007 the Joint Committee of Vietnam and Israel for Science-Technology and Culture-Information which is open to cover economy and trade whenever conditions allow and submit a committee line-up to the PM for approval.
