Half of the 800 surveyed CEOs from 52 countries in the region said that they plan to increase investment in the three countries next year.

This year’s survey shows that only 28% of the business leaders said they strongly believe in business growth over the next 12 months, down from 46% last year. This is the lowest business confidence rate the PwC released its first survey since 2012.

Apart from economic aspect, business leaders also concern about cyber security, natural disasters and geopolitical tensions in the region.

The surveyed CEOs also called on accelerate Internet connection speed and digital economy rather than investing in regional level trade projects or new infrastructure in less developed areas.

They believe that technological innovation will become more popular across Asia-Pacific by 2020.

Noticeably, surveyed CEOs show their optimistic view on free trade process in the region with the ASEAN Economic Community becoming the game changer.

PwC operates and is recognized as the market leader in 18 countries with 32,000 staff and 1,600 partners, having local expertise in every part of the region to help business grow./.
