VN always welcomes Indian investors, says PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng

In the early morning of July 5, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng and some members of the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation met CEOs of some Indian industrial groups, including ONGC, Reliance Infocomm, Essar, JP Morgan, Gail, Aditya Birla, Satyam, Infosys, NIIT, and Ranbaxy, engaging in oil exploitation, petrochemistry, information technology, communications, pharmacy and other hi-tech industries.

The Vietnamese PM highly spoke of investment projects run by Indian groups in Việt Nam, ranking Indian amongst the biggest investors in Việt Nam. PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng asserted that those industrial groups and businesses have played an important role in developing the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Việt Nam and India. The Vietnamese Government is doing its utmost to facilitate fruitful cooperation between the Vietnamese and Indian business communities.

Indian CEOs highly valued Việt Nam as one of the most favorable environments for foreign investors and pledged an investment capital of over US$ 1 billion this year and more than US$ 2 billion next year.

In the same morning, PM Nguyễn Tấn attended and addressed the India-Việt Nam Business Forum held at Hilton Tower Hotel. He reconfirmed that the Vietnamese State and Government always welcome and create best conditions for Indian investors, especially in the fields in which India has potentialities and advantages, such as information technology, electricity, gas and oil, energy, metallurgy, mining, transport, agriculture, aquaculture, food processing, pharmacy, and medical equipment.

In the afternoon of July 5 (India hour), PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng and his entourage visited Reliance Infocomm, Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City (DAKC) located in Navi Mumbai. This is India's largest new technology campus covering an area of 56 ha. This world-class economy campus showcases the spirit of the knowledge age in its layout, architecture and character. DAKC is the heart of Reliance Infocomm, housing a National Network Operations Center (NNOC) as its nerve center. From NNOC, the entire network of Reliance Infocomm, covering 60,000 kilometers of optic fiber that connects 90% of India's population and reaching 600 towns and cities, is monitored and controlled. Unlike most other network operations centers around the world, which are designed to support a specific product, service or geography, the NNOC of Reliance Infocomm is unique in the sense that it controls a range of products, services and geographies.  

Under his working timetable, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng will have official talks to his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh, pay courtesy visits to Indian President Abdul Kalam and Ms. Sonia Gandhi, Chairperson of the ruling United Progressive Alliance, and receives Indian House of People Speaker Shri Somnath Chatterjee.
