The Government chief welcomed the signing of a framework agreement on bilateral cooperation between the two Governments, saying it creates an appropriate cooperative framework in the new context, especially in such domains like development cooperation and climate change adaptation.

PM Phuc spoke highly of Luxembourg as the 5th biggest European investor in Viet Nam, calling on the two sides to further facilitate contacts and meetings between the two business communities, particularly those operating in finance, banking, tourism and green growth sectors.

He took the occasion to extend thanks to Luxembourg for offering Viet Nam € 124 million in non-refundable aid from 1995 to 2015.

Asselborn said Luxembourg will continue close collaboration with Viet Nam to further lift up the two-way trade value in the future.

He highly valued the speech by PM Phuc at the recent G7 Outreach Summit in Canada, in which the latter referred to environmental protection issue.

Asselborn said he expects Viet Nam and the EU would soon sign their free trade agreement to give a strong boost the relationship between the two sides./.
