VN advocates maintaining peace in Korean Peninsula

VGP – Viet Nam consistently advocates every effort to promote dialogue and maintain peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang on May 30.

May 31, 2017 3:40 PM GMT+7

The statement was made in response to the question about Viet Nam’s reaction to the test-firing of a ballistic missile by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on May 29.

Viet Nam is highly concerned about recent developments in the Korean Peninsula, especially the DPRK’s repeated missile launches, which seriously violated related resolutions of the United Nations’ Security Council.
The maintenance of peace, stability and prosperous development in the region is in the joint benefits and responsibilities of all nations, said Ms. Hang.

She called on all countries to fully implement the UN Security Council’s resolutions and to make constructive and practical contribution to maintaining peace, stability in the region and the world.
