VN actively promotes tourism at int’l fair in Belgium

VGP - The Brussels International Tourism Fair 2018 has taken place in Belgium’s capital city.

February 07, 2018 8:11 AM GMT+7

At the annual event, Viet Nam Airlines’ booth introduces information on tourism and plane tickets from Europe to Viet Nam and vice versa.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium Vuong Thua Phong took the occasion to promote the image of Vietnamese land and people to Belgian and international partners.

He said that Viet Nam’s representative offices in foreign countries have actively collaborated with organizations such as Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism, Viet Nam Airlines, Viet Nam’s travel agencies and local friends, to promote Viet Nam tourism.

Viet Nam is ready to create favourable conditions for tourists, especially improving the visa process for tourists by issuing a decree allowing an electronic visa form pilot program and regulations on visa exemption for some tourists in key areas of tourism in Europe.

Mr. Phong believes these measures will help attract more tourists from Europe to Viet Nam.

Brussels International Tourism Fair 2018 introduced a full range of attractive tourism product types from outlying and unfamiliar destinations to familiar places in the world.

Viet Nam’s booth attracts many travel companies and individuals to learn more information about the country.

Viet Nam welcomed nearly 13 million international tourists in 2017, up 29.1% compared with the previous year, of which 1.9 million tourists come from Europe, including over 29,000 Belgians.
