The State Bank of Việt Nam (SBV) was assigned to work with the Office of Government (OOG), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MoPI), the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and other relevant ministries and agencies and the WB to map out a detailed organization plan.

The Government instructed the SBV to work with ministries, agencies and localities to host the conference and sidelines forums and establish an assessment group.

Headed by a Deputy Governor of the SBV, the assessment group will comprised representatives from the MoFA, MoPI, MoF, the OOG, and relevant agencies to generally evaluate the cooperation between Việt Nam and the WB and propose orientations in the coming time.

The SBV, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and the MoPI, will hold different seminars to seek proper measures to raise the efficiency of public-private-partnership projects.

The Government chief also asked the MoPI, in collaboration with the SBV, MoF and relevant ministries, to evaluate the management and spending of WB-financed aid.

It is reported that by late February 2010, the WB has financed 93 projects and programs worth of around US $10.4 billion. Over US $6.7 billion (65% of registered capital) has been disbursed.

The WB chiefly pours assistance in such fields as agriculture, irrigation, urban and rural infrastructure construction, transportation, health care, education, finance and banking./.
