The two sides asserted to continue consolidating and developing the comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, hailing the achievements in their relations, including Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin’s visit to Viet Nam in September 2017 and the 14th meeting of the bilateral Inter-Governmental Committee in Kiev in October last year.

The two countries consented to increase mutual visits at all levels and effectively realize the agreements reached at the 14th meeting of the Viet Nam – Ukraine Inter-Governmental Committee on economic-trade and scientific-technological cooperation.

They agreed to facilitate favorable conditions for the countries’ businesses to boost partnership in fields of energy, agriculture and health care as well as enhance trade and cultural and people-to-people exchanges.

Deputy Minister Kyslytsya highly valued contributions by the Vietnamese community in his country to bilateral ties.

The diplomats pledged to continue organizing consultations between the two foreign ministries’ agencies on the basis of the ministries’ consultation plan for 2018 – 2019.

They discussed international and regional issues of common concerns, including the European and Asian-Pacific situation, assenting to keep close coordination at international forums, especially the United Nations.

Ukraine reiterated its support for Viet Nam’s candidacy for a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council for 2020 – 2021.
