VN, U.S. to enhance cooperation in marine corps

VGP - Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Viet Nam People's Army, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Phuong Nam expected that the marine corps between Viet Nam and the U.S. will enhance cooperation, making contributions to improving the two sides’ relations more intensively and effectively. 

Mr. Nam made that statement at his reception for head of the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific, Lieutenant General David Berger on April 9 in Ha Noi. 

The host supposed that the two countries accelerated defense cooperation actively and effectively over the recent years, especially in fields of education and training, remedial post-war landmine settlement, and search and rescue. 

Mr. David Berger hoped that his working visit to Viet Nam will strengthen knowledge and defense cooperation in the upcoming time.
