VN, US boost humanitarian co-operation
VGP - The Viet Nam Red Cross and the United States Red Cross held a working session to discuss strengthening their co-operation in humanitarian activities in Ha Noi on February 20.

The two sides pledged to continue to focus on disaster response and prevention; climate change adaptation; institutional development, support for the disabled and war victims; HIV/AIDS prevention; first aid; and traffic safety.
Over the past ten years, the United States Red Cross has helped Viet Nam implement eight humanitarian aid projects in 21 cities and provinces benefiting 500,000 people.
