VN, Singaporean agencies share experience of managing State money

VGP – Việt Nam’s Steering Committee for Corporation Reform and Development (SCCRD) and representatives from some economic groups and the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) today had a working session with senior leaders of Singaporean company Temasek.

Temasek presented its experience of managing State capital and properties in enterprises, corporate administration, information transparency, and shareholder-company relationship.

Deputy Chairman of the Government Office Phạm Viết Muôn, who is also SCCRD Vice Director, stated that experience and lessons shared by Temasek are valuable sources for renewing State capital management in Việt Nam.

Mr. Muôn expressed his hope that, through the working session, Việt Nam’s competent agencies and the SCIC will have useful knowledge to convert the SCIC in to a major State-run financial investment group and an instrument for the Government to effectively manage and run State-owned enterprises.
