Under the upgraded MoU, both sides will continue augmenting their personnel cooperation through training courses and symposiums, and the sharing of information and documents regarding anti-corruption.

In addition, both sides will also facilitate partnership between inspection and anti-corruption agencies at the local level.

According to Vietnamese Inspector General Le Minh Khai, the upgraded MoU, which took place on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam-Russia diplomatic ties (1950-2020), will take cooperation between the two agencies to a higher level and contribute to deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

Since the first MoU on anti-corruption coperation was signed in 2014, the two sides have exchanged information and experience to deal with challenges in the fight against corruption.

Meanwhile, Chief of the Russian Presidential Anti-Corruption Directorate Chobotov Andrey Sergeevich expressed his hope that the new document will help improve efficiency of anti-corruption work in respective countries./.
