VN, Russia hold 7th strategic dialogue
VGP – Deputy Foreign Minister Ho Xuan Son and his Russian counterpart Igor V.Morgulov co-chaired the 7th meeting of the Viet Nam-Russia Strategic Dialogue on diplomacy-national defense-security in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday.
Both sides discussed measures to accelerate the bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern.
The two Deputy FMs stressed that the regular high-level contacts and dialogues have contributed to enhancing trust and creating firm foundation for cooperation in other fields between the two countries.
They agreed to foster comprehensive cooperation in economy as well as national defense and security, and military techniques
The two sides also agreed to continue close and effective coordination at international forums, especially the United Nations and other regional mechanisms.
The same day, Russian Deputy FM Igor V.Morgulov met with Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan during which the latter urged the two sides to beef up the signing of a cooperative agreement between the city and Moscow in the time to come./.
