At the reception, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm highly spoke of the Russian Culture Week, considering it a significant event for both Vietnamese and Russian peoples. The event helped speed up cultural exchange and cement traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Russia, emphasized the Deputy PM.

Mr. Malyshev Vladimir expressed his hope that cultural activities during the Russian Culture Week will be a good evidence of the close relationship between the two countries.

The guest also expected that Russia and Vietnam will continue their cooperation in many spheres in the coming time, especially in exchanging art troupes, training, preserving heritages, and library. Russia will well prepare the Vietnamese Culture Week to be held in September 2008 in Russia.

The Russian Culture Week in Vietnam from April 17 to 22 is co-organized by Vietnam Ministry of Culture and Information, Russian Federal Agency for Culture and Cinematography, and Russian Embassy. During this week, many activities have been carried out, including a photo exhibition  on St. Petersburg, an exhibition of Solveig assemblage art in Hanoi, Russian movies week, and  art performance programs in Hanoi and Hồ Chí Minh City.
