VN Petroleum Association founded
VGP – The Việt Nam Petroleum Association (VNPA) made the debut and organized its first congress this morning.

Petroleum is an important industry |
VNPA is a socio-occupational organization administered by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT).
In the term of 2009-2013, the Association will focus on professional activities. In the near future, VNPA will advice PetroVietnam in designing the five-year plan 2011-2015, mapping out national energy policies, and assessing and approving investment projects at home and abroad.
According to MIT Deputy Minister Bùi Xuân Khu, the establishment of VNPA will bring about a new strength for Việt Nam’s petroleum industry to make greater contributions to the country’s development.
