At the signing ceremony

The document was inked by NZ Ambassador to Viet Nam Wendy Matthews and Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Xuan Ha.

Addressing the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Xuan Ha highlighted the significance of the MoU as it will help strengthen dialogues and cooperation between the two sides especially in budget and fiscal management, debt management, tax policy, macroeconomic stability, and other economic-financial issues.

The MoU was inked just only one day after Vietnamese PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and New Zealander counterpart Jacinda Ardern agreed to formally elevate the two countries’ comprehensive partnership to strategic partnership during their virtual summit.

NZ Ambassador to Viet Nam Wendy Matthew said that thanks to great strength in these areas, NZA is capable of supporting Viet Nam in researching, developing, and implementing policies./.
