The PM highly valued the achievements of the talks between the two nations’ Party Commissions for External Relations, expecting that the official visit of the Lao delegation will contribute to launching effectively agreements reached by the two sides’ high ranking leaders.

He lauded the signing of the new Trade Agreement between the two countries, saying that the Agreement not only creates more chances for cooperation in trade and services but also enhances the bilateral relationship in the future.

The two nations need to give priority to crucial cooperation in economics, trade and investment and sign a border trade Agreement in the upcoming time, the PM suggested.

Viet Nam will accelerate the implementation of projects in Laos, including projects on hydro-electric power and rubber tree plantation and promote new cooperative programs, he said, hoping that the Lao Government will facilitate the Vietnamese businesses' expanded investment and operation in Laos.

The Vietnamese leader expected that the two nations will join hands in establishing an ASEAN Community and support each other at international and regional forums.

Laos attaches importance to the cooperative relations with Viet Nam, especially in economics for the sake of both, confirmed Deputy PM Thoonglun Sisoulith, adding that the Lao Government welcomes and create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to launch long-term investment in Laos.
