VN, Laos agree to boost audit cooperation
VGP - The State Audit of Viet Nam (SAV) and the Lao State Audit Organization (LSAO) will keep on bolstering the exchange of information, experience and experts.
The consensus was reached on October 18 during talks between SAV Chief Auditor Dinh Tien Dung and visiting LSAO Chair Viengthong Siphandone. Viet Nam will send experts to Laos to train Lao auditors and hold courses, seminars and conferences for Lao officials.
Mr. Dung proposed the LSAO actively and frequently coordinate with the Laos-Viet Nam Cooperation Subcommittee in fostering audit cooperation between the two countries, especially in technical assistance and construction investment.
SAV will also continue to strengthen cooperation on training and knowledge sharing via joint audit conferences and seminars, Mr. Dung said.
Ms. Siphandone thanked SAV for having helped LSAO develop many programs on intensively training auditors. The two sides will continue to support each other at multilateral forums, especially in the framework of the ASEAN Supreme Audit Institutions.
