VN, Laos, Cambodia enhance unity

VGP – Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia have been working to elevate their time-honoured relations in all fields.Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Deputy Director of the Politics General Department of the People's Army of Viet Nam, made the statement during a meeting with delegations of the Laos-Viet Nam and Cambodia-Viet Nam Friendship Unions in Ha Noi on May 12.

He affirmed that the delegations’ visits to Viet Nam would strengthen and tighten the traditional friendship among the three countries.

The Lao delegation is led by Major General Phouvong Vongphom, acting director of the Defence Ministry’s Logistics Department, and the Cambodia delegation by General Chao Phally, Deputy Minister of State for the Defence Ministry and Vice Chairman of the Cambodia-Viet Nam Friendship Association.

The two officials expressed their gratitude to the Party, the Government, people and the People’s Army of Viet Nam for their support in the fights for national independence and reunification in the past and the current national protection, construction and development.

They noted that they would do their best to preserve and strengthen the unity among the three countries’ armies and people.
