The two sides hailed the developments in Viet Nam-Japan Extensive Strategic Partnership over the recent years, especially in terms of economics, trade and investment.

They consented to strengthen political trust through maintaining regular high-ranking delegation exchanges in the future, including the future visit to Viet Nam of Japanese Emperor and Empress in early 2017 and PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s official visit to Japan in 2017.

Viet Nam’s consistent diplomatic policy is to consider Japan as a top and long-term crucial partner, sai the Deputy PM.

The Vietnamese Government and people attach importance and expect to promote the relations with Japan for the sake of their nations and people and contributing to the regional peace, stability and development.

He thanked the Japanese Government’s Official development Assistance (ODA) for Viet Nam in its socio-economic development and poverty reduction, suggesting Japan continue assisting Viet Nam in economic development and direct investment to launch key infrastructure projects as well as other areas such as energy, training, response to climate change and poverty reduction.

Japan is willing to cooperate with Viet Nam in infrastructure development, energy, training and construction, said Mr.Yoshihide Suga, affirming that Japan attaches importance to the relationship with Viet Nam and hopes to promote the relations in the future.
