VN, Iran head to raise two-way trade value to US$2 bln

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy PM Minh hailed the traditional relationship between Viet Nam and Iran and the successful organization of high-ranking visits over the recent years. 

He supposed that the two sides’ ministries need to actively cooperate to realize outcomes reached at the ninth meeting of the Viet Nam-Iran Joint Committee. 

The host proposed the two nations enhance cooperation in economics and trade to soon raise the two-way trade turnover to US$2 billion. 

Iran regards Viet Nam as a crucial partner in Southeast Asia and Asia, Mr. Alaeddin Boroijerdi asserted, expecting that the two nations will continue promoting their relations to meet the prospects and benefits of their peoples. 

He said he will report to the Iranian high-ranking leaders to direct ministries and agencies to join hands with the Vietnamese partners to launch their agreements, especially in such areas as banking, agriculture, seafood, and mining. 

The guest suggested the two sides support their businesses to invest and launch business at their markets.
