VN, India beef up cooperation

VGP – Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc on January 7 in Ha Noi received Chairman of the India-ASEAN Business Promotion Council Shantanu Srivastava.

Deputy PM Phuc said he was delighted to witness the growing traditional and cooperative ties between Viet Nam and India.

He spoke highly of the contributions made by the Chairman to bilateral ties, particularly in the economic, trade and investment scopes.

The host leader hoped that Mr.  Shantanu Srivastava would do more to cement and deepen bilateral friendship and cooperation.

He asked the guest to help spur the two countries' partnership in India's advantageous fields such as IT, pharmaceutical and agricultural products and boost Vietnamese exports to India.  

In addition, he suggested the two countries accelerate cooperation to produce exports to third countries.

The guest took the occasion to seek the Vietnamese Government’s support for Indian investors to develop long-term business in Viet Nam./.
