Dr. Harald Ringstorff stated that, witnessing Việt Nam's dynamic economic development, many German businesses, including those participating his delegation, are much interested in projects on infrastructure development in Việt Nam, especially seaports, airports, tourism and biotechnology.
PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng asserted that the Việt Nam-Germany friendship is developing well. Germany is currently the biggest EU investors in Việt Nam. However, according to the Government chief, the two countries should further promote their economic, trade and investment cooperation.
The PM confirmed that the Vietnamese Government is willing to create best conditions for German enterprises and groups to successfully do business in Việt Nam. He agreed and lauded the cooperation between the legislatures of the two countries. The PM also asked Germany to open tertiary educational facilities in Việt Nam, provide more ODA to the country and help to build a metro network in Hồ Chí Minh City.
In the morning, National Assembly Chairman Nguyễn Phú Trọng had talks with German Bundesrat President Harald Ringstorff.
NA Chairman Nguyễn Phú Trọng said that Việt Nam highly values Germany's scientific, technical and economic potentialities and asked Germany to continue supporting Việt Nam, further developing the bilateral ties corresponding to their desire.
