VGP - The Ministry of Education and Training and its Danish counterpart in Ha Noi on March 4 hosted a seminar on co-operation between educational institutions.

March 05, 2015 4:32 PM GMT+7

In his opening remark, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Bui Van Ga said Vietnam needs reform in curricula, the quality of teaching staff, and research and application.

He stated confidently that the forum would provide a platform for both sides to foster collaboration in education and training.

Danish Minister of Education Christine Antorini, visiting Viet Nam from March 3 to 7, said at the seminar that a number of projects between the two countries were already underway, and the Danish education sector was looking forward to expanding the scope of its co-operation with Viet Nam.

There is a good match between the current challenges and needs here in Viet Nam and Danish strongholds on educational training, upper secondary business colleges, technical colleges and other areas, she said.

She also confirmed her Government's commitment to the partnership and willingness to further enhance coo-peration between Viet Nam and Denmark in the field of education.

The comprehensive partnership aimed to provide a foundation for expanding bilateral co-operation in foreign affairs, trade and investment, environmental sustainability, education and cultural exchange.
