VN, Denmark spur agricultural cooperation

VGP – Viet Nam is accelerating the agricultural restructuring towards large-scale production and global production chain and hopes to cooperate with Danish enterprises for mutual benefits, said Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai.

Mr. Hai made the point on Monday in Ha Noi while receiving Danish Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Eva Kjer Hansen who is on a working visit to Viet Nam.

The host leader welcomed the visit of Minister Eva Kjer Hansen to Viet Nam on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties.

He also hailed the support of the Danish Government and people for socio-economic development in Viet Nam, particularly in agriculture, breeding, manpower development, as well as poverty reduction.

Mr. Hai revealed that Viet Nam is pursuing the agricultural restructuring towards large-scale production, scientific and technological applications, participation into production chains and global market. Thus, enterprises of the two countries would beef up cooperation in these fields for mutual benefits.

Deputy PM Hai hoped that Denmark would continue to expand investment and business activities in Viet Nam and prioritize projects on technological transferring and climate change response.  

For her part, Minister Eva Kjer Hansen showed her impression on robust development in Viet Nam of which agriculture and breeding made outstanding progresses in export and restructuring.

Ms.  Eva Kjer Hansen believed that the deep integration and the fine relations between Viet Nam and the Europe in general and Denmark in particular would continue to gain new advances.

The Minister also announced that during the visit, the Danish delegation met with the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and business communities discussing cooperative opportunities in agriculture, breeding, food processing and hygiene control./.
