VN, Cuba businesses see wide range of opportunities

VNGOP - Over 100 Vietnamese and Cuban business executives met in Havana on September 24 to seek trade, business and investment opportunities and sign contracts.

September 26, 2007 7:16 AM GMT+7

Cabinet Minister Ricardo Cabrisas called on businesses from the two countries to further work in energy, agriculture, information technology, communication, bio-technology, transport, construction, fisheries and tourism.

Though Việt Nam is Cuba’s second largest Asian trade partner, following China, the Cuban minister said there is still room for massive growth.

His view was shared by Minister of Construction Nguyễn Hồng Quân, who also pledged to support Cuban enterprises in conducting business in Việt Nam.

The business meeting was part of an annual session held by the Việt Nam-Cuba Intergovernmental Committee for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, of which Minister Nguyễn Hồng Quân and Cabinet Minister Ricardo are Co-Chairs.
