VN, China sign 15 cooperation agreements
VGP - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping witnessed the signing of 15 cooperative agreements between Viet Nam and China.

The agreement covering various fields from economy, transportation, national defense, health care, tourism and training were sealed on the occasion of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s official tour of China.
The agreements include:
•An agreement on training senior officials between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of China (CPC);
• A memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the CPV Central Committee’s Economic Commission and the Development Research Centre of the China’s State Council;
• A document on technical assistance in making a planning scheme for the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong railway, a joint vision statement on national defense cooperation between the two national defense ministries to 2025, and a framework agreement on land border gate cooperation between the Vietnamese National Defense Ministry and the Chinese General Administration of Customs;
• Documents on cooperation in technical trade barriers, and releasing aquatic varieties in the Tonkin Gulf;
• A cooperative agreement between the Viet Nam National Politics – Truth Publishing House and the People’s Publishing House of China for 2017-2021;
• An agreement between the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries;
• An agreement between Viet Nam Red Cross Association and China Red Cross;
• A MoU on television and radio programs;
• A MoU between the Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam and the China Development Bank on sponsoring and middle and long-term loans for the 2017-2019 period./.
