VN, China commit cooperation in urban construction, planning and management

VNGOVNet – Deputy PM Trương Vĩnh Trọng gave a reception in the afternoon of December 19 at the head office of the Government to Chinese Construction Minister Wang Guangtao on the latter's working visit to Vietnam.

The Chinese Minister of Construction briefed Deputy PM Trương Vĩnh Trọng of the working session between the Vietnamese and Chinese ministries of construction. The two sides agreed to share experience and boost cooperation in dealing with burning issues faced by the two countries’ construction sectors, such as urban planning and management, housing for the poor and low-income people, and the efficiency in use of investment capital. Mr. Wang Guangtao affirmed that China will share with Vietnam its experience in construction management, assist Vietnam with personnel training, introduce Chinese big builders to Vietnam for exchange of experience and cooperation. The Chinese side hoped that the two countries’ cooperation in construction will become more fruitful.

At the reception, Deputy PM Trương Vĩnh Trọng highly hailed the talks between the two Ministries of Construction. He expressed his hope that the cooperation agreements reached between the two countries will be realized soon and that China will share its experience with Vietnam in urban construction, planning and management. Deputy PM Trương Vĩnh Trọng said that these agreements constitute just primary steps and that the two countries should broaden their cooperation for shared benefits under the motto: "Friendly neighborhood, comprehensive cooperation, long-term stability, and looking towards the future".
