They were determined to promoting economic linkages especially among border provinces; focusing on transport lines, electricity, tourism, telecom, as well as banking. The two sides targeted to early ink the Border Trade Agreement; put a new-modal market at Da commune, Memot district, Tbong Khmum into operation; and ink a new protocol to amend the previous one on implementation of the Viet Nam-Cambodia Road Transport Agreement and a memorandum of understanding on Viet Nam-Cambodia waterway transport agreement.

Both sides also agreed to boost investment and support border provinces via multilateral programs or sub-region in the Southeast Asian region./.
