VN, Cambodia, Laos agree on planting border markers

VNGOP – The three-day second round of the Việt Nam-Cambodia-Laos expert-level meeting was launched on August 29 in Phnom Penh to define the exact T-junction of the three countries’ borderlines.

September 01, 2007 7:09 AM GMT+7

At the meeting, the three sides approved a plan to design the border-junction landmark and a draft agreement on the defining for the intersection point of the three countries’ borders.
They also agreed on technical requirements to draw up a map attached to the agreement and a plan to complete the planting of border markers by the end of 2007.
The three parties reached a consensus to build up the border-junction as a noble symbol of their solidarity and goodwill for a borderline of peace, friendship, stability and cooperation, as part of the Cambodia-Laos-Việt Nam Development Triangle Program.
