VN Airlines to launch Da Nang-Osaka route

VGP - The direct flights linking Da Nang city and the city of Osaka, Japan will start on October 28, according to the national-flag carrier Viet Nam Airlines.

The airline will operate seven flights per week using Airbus A321s with services meeting four-star standards.

The new service will be operational with 7 flights per week, using Airbus 321 aircraft. Flights will depart from Da Nang at 12.20 a.m and Osaka at 9.30 a.m. Travel time will be 4 hours 30 minutes.

The new air route is the eleventh from Viet Nam to Japan to be directly operated by Viet Nam Airlines, including routes from Ha Noi, HCM City and Da Nang City to Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka.

For the opening occasion, the airline will launch a ticket promotion programme from September 30, offering fares from VND 5.89 million (US$249) for flights between October 28 to December 31, as well as adding reward points for its loyal customers.

Currently, Viet Nam Airlines is the largest carrier operating direct flights between Viet Nam and Japan with an average of 70 regular flights per week. 

Since the first direct flight operated in 1994, Viet Nam Airlines' passenger volume has reached 11.3 million passengers, accounting for 65 percent of the market share.
