VN - EEU FTA to be inked in first half of 2015

VGP – Viet Nam and the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) released a joint statement on concluding the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations in December 2014 and head to officially ink the document in the first half of 2015.

FM Spokesman Le Hai Binh made that statement on April 9 to answer the question about the process of signing the FTA between Viet Nam and the EEU.

The two sides have agreed fundamental contents of the Agreement with a comprehensive scope, high commitment and ensuring benefits for all sides.

The signing of the FTA is a crucial step forward to upgrade the relationship between Viet Nam and members of the EEU to a higher level.

The FTA will open new markets for Viet Nam’s products as well as expand the investment and trade relations between Viet Nam and EEU members.
