VN – Asia Silk Culture Festival to be held in Hoi An

Representatives from numerous Asian and European countries will attend the event. The event aims at promoting and preserving the value of traditional silk villages across Viet Nam, including Van Phuc (Hanoi), Hoi An and Ma Chau (QuangNam), and Bao Loc (the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong), among others.

In addition, it will connect craftsmen with potential business partners from Japan, India, China, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Europe.

The silk village, located at 28 Nguyen Tat Thanh street in Hoi An, is a silk-weaving centre and living museum of the ancient trade in the central region.

The village was voted as the third best attraction in Hoi An by travel website TripAdvisor in 2015.
