The EPC contract represents the biggest and most important bidding package of the Project. The factory with a capacity of 600,000 tons of alumina per year requires a total capital of US $460 million. It is expected to be finished within 24 months.
VINACOMIN Chairman of the broad of directors Đoàn Văn Kiển maintained that the signing marked the first step towards the formulation of Việt Nam’s aluminum industry. He added that VINACOMIN is negotiating for another EPC contract on the Nhân Cơ Alumina Factory with the similar capacity.
