The awarding ceremony was held on February 3 with the attendance of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong, and State President Tran Dai Quang, among others.

The first prizes went to journalist Bac Van from Nhan Dan (People’s) Daily, Tran Luu from Sai Gon Giai phong (Liberated Saigon) newspapers, a group of journalists from Nhan Dan Television, Tri Dung from the Vietnam News Agency, Phuong Lien and Nhat Nam from the Government e-newspaper and Viet Anh from Viet Nam Television.

After nine months, the Party building magazine received nearly 2,000 entries, up from 1,173 entries of the previous event, with 54 selected for prizes, including six first, eight second, 15 third and 25 consolidation prizes.

The two entries of the VGP covered a series of news under the themes “Renovating viewpoints on private economic sector – High confidence in fair games” and “From Party’s requirements to the PM’s new models”.

Addressing the event, head of the CPV Central Committee’s Organization Commission Pham Minh Chinh, who is also head of the organizing board, said the works have provided a panorama on Party building in Viet Nam.

Tran Quoc Vuong, head of the CPV Central Committee’s Inspection Commission, said that Party building and rectification is the task shared by all-level Party Committees and organizations, and the entire political system and people of all social strata.

“The press plays an important role in the work,” he stressed, asking all-level Party Committees, authorities and Fatherland Front, and organizations to create conditions for press agencies and journalists to popularize Party building and rectification./.
