The General Department of Viet Nam Customs has requested the Customs Departments of Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City to work with relevant units to install more signboards and directions in airport area and tax return areas so that visitors may get quick access to VAT refund service.

In addition, the two Customs Departments were asked to continue supporting foreigners and commercial banks in dealing with problems arising at airports during the processing of VAT refunds.

Accordingly, the main items involved in VAT refunds for foreign visitors include: spectacles, cosmetics, apparels, footwear, watches, computers, purses and jewelleries.
