Cedemex is a drug detoxicant prepared from different medical herbs under a research project headed by pharmacist Vũ Văn Chuyên. In August 2003, Cedemex – the product invented by scientists from the Institute on Research and Application of Herbal Medicines for Fatal Disease Treatment – was acknowledged by the State Check and Acceptance Board as an effective medication to cut the attack of drug addiction. Cedemex was permitted by the Ministry of Health to be put into nationwide circulation and used at all rehabilitation centers throughout the country.
