Earlier on July 10, Viet Nam received 2,000,040 doses of Moderna vaccine donated to the COVAX Facility by the U.S. Aministration.

As of July 12, around eight million COVID-19 vaccine doses landed in Viet Nam, said head of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nguyen Thi Minh Hang.

To date, Viet Nam has approved six vaccines for emergency use in Viet Nam, namely Janssen, Moderna, Sputnik V, Pfizer, Sinopharm, and AstraZeneca.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health approved Spikevax COVID-19 vaccine known as Moderna for emergency use in Viet Nam.

Last week, Viet Nam launched the national COVID-19 vaccination campaign with a goal to acquire 150 million doses for around 75 million people, or 70% of the country’s population.

More than 100 million doses from various sources and providers have been committed for distribution in Viet Nam this year./.
