U.S. group inaugurates animal feed plant in Ha Nam province

The new facility is strategically located near northern Viet Nam’s key farming region and is close to port facilities.

 Built on 4.6 hectares of land, the new facilities include a production area, three warehouses for storing raw materials, and finished goods, offices, and a loadout bay with ample space for customer trucks.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Xuan Duong, acting director of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s Department of Livestock Production, said  the operation of ADM  would meet increasing demand, contributing to boosting the livestock sector in Viet Nam and the province.

He said the U.S. group has actively contributed to the development of the livestock industry in Viet Nam over the past 25 years.

Mr Duong hoped with new modern technology and financial potentials, ADM will continue bring the latest technology to Viet Nam and connecting the Vietnamese livestock market with the global market. 

He requested industrial parks and other departments and sectors in the province to continue to support and create a favorable environment for ADM  factory to do business in the area.

President of ADM's Animal Nutrition business Pierre Duprat said the building of the plant is part of the group’s strategy of expanding to key breeding areas in the north of Vietnam with convenient access to seaport facility services.

He said that the plant will employ about 200 seasonal and permanent workers.
