U.S. President thanks VN after DPRK-USA Ha Noi Summit

VGP – U.S. President Donald Trump once again thanked Viet Nam for hosting the second DPRK-USA Summit while flying back to the U.S. on February 28 after finishing his meeting in Ha Noi.

On his Twitter account, President Trump extends thanks to Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and “the wonderful people of Viet Nam".

Earlier at a press conference following the DPRK-USA Ha Noi Summit, Trump thanked the government and people of Viet Nam for supporting and hosting the second DPRK-USA summit.

He said he and DPRK leader Kim Jong-un talked about various issues and had a “productive time”, both leaving the summit with a sound and friendly disposition.

In a statement the same day, the White House’s Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said that President Trump and DPRK Chairman Kim Jong-un “had a very good and constructive meeting in Ha Noi.” - VNA
