The Deputy PM assigned the Ministry of Planning and Investment to approve and sign with UNICEF the project documents and collaborate with the Committee for Population, Family and Children and the related agencies and localities in implementing the Project in line with the current regulations.

Vietnam and UNICEF have implemented seven country programs costing hundreds of million US dollars. With an estimated budget of US$ 84 million for Vietnam from 2006-2010, UNICEF commits continued assistance in primary services, such as healthcare, nutrition, clean water supply, hygiene, education, and new fields, such as prevention of accidents and injuries in children with a priority given to those from ethnic minorities or living in remote areas.
