At the talks, the two sides discussed cooperation in higher education such as training and improving capacity for managers in charge of education, enhancement of information technology application in higher education and improvement of training links between the two sides’ higher education institutions.

Mr. Nick Gibb expressed his delight with the outcomes of the Programme for International Student Assessment –PISA, expecting to learn more experience from Viet Nam in launching the program.

For his side, Mr. Nha said Viet Nam highly appraised the UK’s education, expressing his hope that the UK will provide more support for Viet Nam not only in higher education but also high schools as well as experience of the UN in field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education and English.

Earlier on January 20, the Vietnamese Minister met with representatives of the Vietnamese students living in the UK.
