Two new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Hai Duong, Quang Nam
VGP – The National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control on Monday morning confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 in Hai Duong and Quang Nam, taking the nation’s patient tally to 964.
Patient 963 is a 30-year-old man from Tan Binh ward, Hai Duong city.
On August 3, he had dinner at a restaurant in the city’s Pham Ngu Lao Ward where four employees were later diagnosed with Covid-19.
He had his samples collected on August 15 and was confirmed positive for the virus the following day.
Patient 964 is a 49-year-old woman from Tam Ky District, Quang Nam Province.
On July 11, she attended a wedding ceremony in Da Nang City.
On August 16, she was tested positive for Covid-19.
Of the patient tally, 336 are imported cases immediately quarantined upon their arrival.
Since July 25, the number of cases related to Da Nang touched 488.
As many as 456 out of 964 patients have been cleared of the virus, accounting for 47.3%, according to the Subcommittee of Treatment under the National Steering Committee.
Currently, 107,642 people are being quarantined, including 4,015 at hospitals, 24,948 at centralized quarantine camps, and 78,679 others at places of residence.
