Two more recovered COVID-19 patients tested positive, current active cases bounce back to 51

VGP – Two more recovered COVID-19 patients have tested positive again, the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control said Wednesday afternoon.

April 29, 2020 8:22 PM GMT+7

They are patients numbered 130 and 50.

Patient 130 is a 30-year old man who was hospitalized on March 23 and declared to recover on March 30.

He continued to be quarantined at the the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh after his recovery until April 4 when he was tested positive again for seven consecutive times.

Meanwhile patient 50 is a 50-year old man who was taken to the Ha Noi-based National Hospital for Tropical Diseases on March 13.

He was declared to recover on April 14 but has been kept at the hospital for further surveillance until April 14 when he was confirmed positive again.

With such new cases, the current number of COVID-19 patients in Viet Nam bounced back to 51 who are being treated at 9 hospitals nationwide.

As no new infection cases confirmed today, the total patient tally in the nation remained unchanged at 270.

Though Viet Nam has basically pushed back the COVID-19 outbreaks, the steering committee still encourage citizens to refrain from going outdoor.

Should they have to leave home, they should keep safe distance of two meter from each other, regularly wear face masks, and wash hands regularly with soap or sanitizer./.
